The Zappa Knit Blanket is one of two designs Andreas Samuelsson created exclusively for Slowdown Studio. The Gothenburg-based artist has spent his career working with major publications and global brands from the New York Times to Apple.
Every Slowdown Studio knit blanket starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into art-inspired homewares. The Zappa Knit Blanket is made in the USA from a high-quality blend of cotton and recycled polyester which makes it soft, durable, and built to last without pilling or bleeding. Use it on your couch, your bed, or wherever you need a little colour or personality.

About the Artist
Andreas Samuelsson (Gothenburg, Sweden) works as an artist in a poetic graphic manner. He has worked with most major newspapers in the world (New York Times, Spiegel, La Republica, Forbes, Apartamento etc) and with many famous international brands (Nike, Flos, Volvo, Apple, Kiehls, Aesop etc). With his seemingly stripped-down images, he makes the complicated simple and the simple a little more complicated by exploring, challenging and contrasting the representative, associative and concrete properties of line, surface and shape. Every day, he draws new pictures. His day consists of intensive work for a few hours and then time to look for inspiration. He cycles, swims, goes to a flea market or listens to a record of jazz. Andreas' interest in design has led him to start a brand called Kroki. The Kroki brand is based on a love of strong graphic shapes and patterns.

Returns
Returns must be made within 30 days of purchase. This will be at your own shipping expense, unless the product is faulty. Returns must be in their original, packaged condition and arrive back to us undamaged. Email us at orders@slowdownstudio.com to initiate a return.

Orders being shipped outside of the U.S., Australia & the EU may be subject to customs, taxes or any additional charges by your local government, which will be payable by yourself.
