Luiza is a printmaker and illustrator who carves lino by hand, finding charm in ordinary household objects and the quiet scenes we usually overlook.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis design comes from a series called Studio Still Life. It started as a bit of play in the studio, an exercise in not overthinking. She sets up a simple still life with whatever’s lying around the house, studio or garden, then carves it straight from real life. For this still life, she chose a stripy cloth, a small stripy vessel and her favourite droopy tulips. She usually works in colour, but this one ended up monochrome, and she loves how it turned out. The result is bold and graphic, with the uneven texture that only comes from a hand-carved Lino print.
